Pizza Now’s recipe for success would not be complete if not for the exemplary employees that have stood by the side of Stephen, Andrew, and Daniel on the busiest and most trying days of the past 20 years.
Jorge started with the Singers as a high school sophomore. He started on dishes, and dishes only, but quickly worked his way to the front of the store, proving capable of handling any obstacle to present itself on his path to assistant manager. His awareness and friendly demeanor have been leaving customers happy for the better part of a decade.
Carlos has grown from a teenager to a family man in his time at Pizza Now in West Chicago. He would have to settle it with Augustin as to who is truly the fastest pizza maker in the store’s history. That said, if you take your eyes off Carlos, you just might end up with more pizzas than you’ll be able to sell that night. Pure speed.
Hanover Park has its own Juan. He’s been with the Singers since 2007, the first year of their second location. He helped the family open in Streamwood, before moving with the Singers to Hanover Park in 2017. Juan is both banker and baker for Pizza Now. He knows every inch of the store he will help Daniel steer into its 19th year of existence.
Alfredo took his first crack at ringing up customers when a then 17-year-old Andrew got into his first car accident, pulling Angry Gene away from the register for the first time in Pizza Now’s history. It momentarily broke up a great team. Alfredo and Gene would take care of the whole store in its early days. It wouldn’t leave much time for their own dinner. They’d laugh, as without fail it seemed, the phone would ring to life as soon as they took their first bites.
Jose Luis is a mainstay in the afternoons in West Chicago. Juan and Alfredo have been showing everything they have learned over 20 years.
There is no hour too busy for Augustin. Andrew knows that if he has Augustin making pizzas on a Friday night, there isn’t anything to worry about on that side of the store. Not many people can claim to be as dependable as Augustin is.
Another multi-store star for the family is Ignacio. He started at West Chicago, working alongside Juan and Alfredo before going with Stephen to open the Aurora location in 2011. Ignacio is an assistant manager you can set your watch to.
Juan followed his brother to Pizza Now after a long career in the restaurant industry. From sushi to pastries, Juan has an educated opinion to offer from his background. His smile has become a fixture in West Chicago, helping customers any way he can, weather on the register or making dough behind the scenes.
